Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the website at foksa.dev and the applications published under it, including the game In the Pipe (dev.foksa.inthepipe) on Google Play.

In the Pipe — the Android app

We do not run a server for this app and we do not collect or store any personal data ourselves. Your settings, your high scores and your progress are written to the device and stay there. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

The app does use two Google services, and each handles data under Google's own privacy policy rather than ours.

Advertising — Google AdMob

The app shows banner and full-screen ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver, cap and measure those ads, and to detect invalid traffic, Google and its advertising partners may process:

• your device's advertising identifier;
• device and app information, such as model, operating system version, language and the app you are using;
• your IP address, from which an approximate location may be derived;
• ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown and whether they were tapped.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your consent before any personalised advertising, using Google's consent management platform. Wherever Google requires a standing way to revisit that choice, the game's Options screen carries one. Where you decline, ads may still be shown, but they are not personalised.

Leaderboards — Google Play Games Services

Signing in to Google Play Games is optional and the game is fully playable without it. If you do sign in, Google shares a Play Games player identifier with the app, and your high score is submitted to a Play Games leaderboard so it can be ranked against other players. That score and identifier are held by Google, not by us. You can manage or delete your Play Games data from your Google account at myaccount.google.com.

Distribution — Google Play

Google Play collects installation, usage and crash information about apps it distributes, and may share aggregate statistics with us as the developer. This is governed by Google's privacy policy and your Play settings.

The website and the browser version of the game

The website itself sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track visitors.

The browser version of In the Pipe has a global leaderboard that the Android app does not use. If you choose to submit a score there, the display name you type, your score and a recording of the run's inputs are sent to our server and published on the board. That name is whatever you enter, so please do not enter one that identifies you. Your IP address is processed transiently to rate-limit submissions and is not stored alongside the score. Scores that fall off the board are deleted automatically. To have a published score removed sooner, email us.

Children

These applications are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you have the right to access, correct, delete, export and restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to it. Because we hold no personal data of our own about app users, most such requests are best made to Google. For anything we do hold — a leaderboard entry on the web version, or an email you sent us — write to [email protected] and we will act within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and a notice appears in the app where the change affects the app.
